Regional Head | Liquidity Risk Management – Singapore APAC recruitment
Role:
• Develop proactive engagement with the business, ALCO and Risk Committee in pursuit of balanced risk / return via discussions on market, liquidity and trading risk exposures and limits.
- Support country risk managers to
- Ensure that market and short-term liquidity risk policies and limit monitoring systems are fully implemented within the region.
- Ensure that market and short-term liquidity risk measurement methodologies are fit-for-purpose, comprehensive and implemented with integrity.
- Continuously enhance risk measures and transparency.
• Establish and maintain control framework to ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, code of conducts, and applicable external laws and regulations.
• Ensure that there are appropriate and documented internal controls and procedures in
place. Monitor the operation of such procedures and controls and regularly review them to ensure that they reflect any changes in products, systems, policy and regulations.
• Maintain appropriate relationships with Regulators and Rating agencies and liaise with internal / external auditors.
- Manage people and talent, and ensure teams are adequately resourced.
Ideal Candidate:
Must have an in-depth knowledge of:
• market, liquidity and applicable trading risk models and methodologies
• market, liquidity and applicable trading risk regulations and guidelines
• workings of financial markets
• trading, balance sheet management and risk management system platforms
• Excellent analytical skills and sound judgement in a rapidly changing environment
• Effective presentation and influencing skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, multicultural awareness and sensitivity
• Proven ability to lead people
• Good business acument and multicultural sensitivity.
- Qualifications in a numerate, quantitative discipline. (e.g. science, engineering, economics)
- Experience in market risk and/or liquidity risk management in banking
