Regional Human Resources Representative

Keefe Group (a division of Centric Group) a high growth, national company, currently has an opportunity for a Regional Human Resources Representative in the Jacksonville, FL office.  This position will lead the Recruiting efforts and HR initiatives and assist the Corporate HR Department with various HR duties at the regional level.

Keefe Group is the nation's leading supplier of food, personal care, electronics, clothing and shoes to the correctional commissary market.

The Keefe Group Jacksonville regional office was established in February of 1993 and is lead by the Group VP. This region serves close to 600 employees in the states of FL, TX, GA, LA, OK, NC, SC and MS.

Primary Responsibilities:

Regional Recruiting 

·         Conduct in-depth candidate interviews via phone and/or face to face.

·         Schedule hiring manager interviews.

·         Administer pre-employment testing (Clerical Skills and light industrial). 

·         Conduct Background checks and report results to hiring managers/Corporate HR (Criminal, Credit and MVR).

·         Conduct reference checks on final candidates as required.

·         Issue Adverse Action Letters.

·         Place newspaper/internet advertisements

·         Maintain contact with candidates throughout the hiring process.

·         Maintain Recruiting files.

·         Prepare local HR vendor invoices for payment.

·         Maintain recruiting contact source database.

·         Field general applicant inquiries (ex. RSM usage and general status follow-up).

·         Maintain HR supplies (ex. New Hire Packets, Drug Testing Kits, Drug Testing Forms, Recruiting Marketing Flyers and Promo Items.

·         Work with vendors and outside agencies to create and maintain excellent relationships with regional recruiting sources.

·         Attend and represent Keefe Group at Regional Career and Job Fairs as required.

 

Secondary Responsibilities:

Regional Generalist, Benefits, and Training 

·         Review, process, and respond to Unemployment Insurance claims, Employment Verifications, and state specific requirements for the region.

·         Process New Hire packets and assist new employees with the completion of New Hire packets.

·         Process and complete Separations to include but not limited to: Terminating employees in Ceridian, forwarding Manager’s files to Corporate HR, sending Benefit Distribution forms, and completing Exit Interviews.

·         Assist Corporate Benefits with collecting enrollment documentation.

·         Assist Corporate HR with distribution of supplies including, but not limited to, postings, materials for wellness initiatives, materials for enrollment.

·         Train the “Target” in the Bullseye (new employee orientation) process and insure new employees have access to the Target and the program on the first day of employment.

 

General

·         Assist on key culture and human resources projects, specifically those that focus on employee engagement, feedback, and development.

·         Provide communications support for assigned projects.

·         Complete miscellaneous projects assigned by Corporate Human Resources or Regional Vice President.
