Regional Inventory Control Speciailst
AIRGAS MID SOUTH, INC., the country's largest distributor of industrial and specialty gases and related products, has an immediate opening for a highly motivated individual to join our Finance Team based in TULSA, OK for the position of REGIONAL INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST.
The Regional Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for performing procedures, implementing and complying with policies and procedures that help ensure the accuracy of the Regional Company's hardgoods and gas inventories. The Regional Company Inventory Control Specialist will help drive accurate and timely inventory management and reporting. This position will also coordinate with Divisional Inventory Control related to meeting established timelines and deadlines for inventory cycle counts for both hardgoods and gases, perform variance analyses and will determine and recommend corrective actions. Industry experience or knowledge of Airgas business and production/distribution network preferred.
*Lead, guide and direct cycle count processes at the Regional Company plants and branches for hardgoods and gases.
*Review and approve inventory adjustments as a result of variances to physical counts compared to the perpetual inventory records in accordance with defined variance thresholds, assist plant and branch personnel to determine the root cause" of inventory variances.
*Work with branches to assist with bolt-on" programs/other inventory promotions, new product or other vendor/Radnor sponsored inventory programs.
*Provide branch-based reporting to measure inventory turns, inactive inventory, adjustments and other relevant metrics.
*Assist Field in establishing appropriate levels and set-up for Manugistics, including freezes/guarantees and Min/Max stocking levels to help ensure dynamic deployment and other automated inventory management systems are working adequately.
*Develop and implement required process changes to reduce/eliminate inventory variances, including new SOPs or other Company policies and procedures.
*Assist in the validation and verification of inventories related to acquisitions.
