Regional PMO Manager – Singapore based IT. recruitment

This is a senior role within the IT management team and the candidate must be capable of managing and leading internal IT teams, managers, third party PMs and third party technical / infrastructure vendors to deliver business aligned IT solutions on time, within budget and to a consistently high standard. The successful candidate will also have representation on a number of senior IT / Operational / RISK forums and will be expected to provide comprehensive status updates across the portolio of initiatives underway and those in planning.

Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Establishing and implementing a lightweight PMO framework (based on ITIL standards) to align IT delivery to business requirements
• Communicating the PMO framework to internal business stakeholders and IT groups
• Championing the PMO and accountable including maintenance of all terms of
reference and associated policies and procedures
• Training IT managers, PMs and where appropriate third party providers in the use of
the PMO framework and standards expected
• Supporting IT staff, Vendors in the preparation, review and approval of all project
documentation. Proposals, Plans, GANTT charts and IT budgets submissions
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the PMO and service CIO / business led
requests for status across priority deliverables
• Produce weekly / monthly dashboard reports on regional risk / issue exposure across
geographies, business lines and product lines
• To fulfil any additional/ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business
• Project Management. Plans projects and other activities according to good project
management principles including identifying resource requirements, establishing
agreed timetables and arranging work activity so that tasks are completed logically
and efficiently.

• Communication Skills. Expresses ideas effectively in both written and spoken
communications. Presents thoughts clearly, logically and succinctly, choosing
language suited to the needs of the audience. Asks clear, thoughtful questions to aid
own and others’ understanding

Professional / Technical Skills:

• At least 3-5 years of project management / PMO gained experience within a financial
services organisation
• Outstanding spoken and written communication skills are a pre-requisite
• Keen eye for detail – ability to assimilate and review project documentation, status
updates and reports quickly and efficiently
• Determined, diligent and passionate about delivering high quality services to the
business
• Mandarin spoken / written skills highly advantageous

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelors Degree / Masters degree / HND or HNC or equivalent
• PMI accreditations (PMP, PgMP) advantageous
