Regional Risk Manager – Executive Director – Transaction Services
The Regional Risk Manager will lead the Transaction Services Risk Management team and will be responsible for the identification of all in-business risks, the establishment of risk metrics, setting of limits, guidelines and risk mitigation processes. The incumbent will have regular interaction with independent risk management to ensure that planning and control processes are aligned with credit policy. The jobholder will have delegated risk authority, will play a key role in communicating with regulators and will build a high level or risk awareness across all levels across the organization. The Regional Risk Manager will be a key person in managing the Transaction Services portfolio, ensuring compliance with and contribute to setting specific risk policies, processes and ensuring adequate support level for the Transaction Services business. The incumbent will monitor the exposures and risk capital usage on an ongoing basis, mitigating losses and helping setup and approve product and credit programs. The jobholder will work with the business to ensure maximized and timely recoveries; forecast/project COC and related PL impact, and generally provide support around all risks, including reputational risk.
The successful candidate will be a degree holder with deep knowledge, understanding and experience of the cash, trade, securities and fund services product suite including:- Payments, Trade, Custody, Clearing, Fund Administration, Transfer Agency, Securities Finance and Agency and Trust. The ideal candidate will be a Senior Credit Officer with at least 5 years of client evaluation and credit analysis experience and have excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship management and influencing skills. Applicants will need to demonstrate a detailed knowledge and understanding of key risk areas including Credit, Country and Cross Border, have a working knowledge of payment systems networks and excellent knowledge of banking products, in particular those related to Transaction Services.
