We are currently working with a leading speciality chemicals distribution company, based in Kuala Lumpur who are looking for senior experienced director level sales manager to manage their performance chemicals business unit for the region. The company has a large regional and global footprint which is continuously growing and developing. Strong candidates will have good understanding of wide ranging speciality chemicals with strong leadership ability.
Responsibilities:
• Develop annual sales plans and execute accordingly
• Manage Customer relations/ customer satisfaction
• To assist in market research, analysis and product development.
• Actively Acquire new markets + manage existing accounts – Business Development
• Utilise budget planning effectively to yield team results
• Experience in Speciality Performance Chemicals; (Adhesives, Petrochemicals, Process Chemicals, Water Treatment, Leather)
• Thorough understanding of these markets with the ability to streamline a large portfolio
• Reporting (sales order processing and follow up)
• Focus on South East Asian Markets
• Understanding the fundamentals of the speciality chemicals market.
• Leadership and managerial abilities – must be a Go Getter / proactive individual.
• Provide support to business development and marketing teams
• Generate cross selling opportunities
Qualifications
• Be currently located or willing to be based in Malaysia – Kuala Lumpur
• Must possess good communication and presentation skills, as well as outgoing.
• Languages: Must speak English, Mandarin is a plus as the job focuses on the Asian markets
• Candidate must possess a Diploma / Business Degree in Chemistry / Science or equivalent from related industry.
• Candidate must be PC literate
• 10-15+ years experience in a commercial environment, ideally a multinational company.
