Residential Sales Representative
Royal Mouldings, a division of Royal Building Products and a Georgia Gulf Company is the largest producer of decorative polymer and Cellular Vinyl moulding extrusion components and systems in North America.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Residential Sales Representative to join our team. This position will be responsible for account development and management in the Northeast Territory including management of territory sales, support and the review and analysis of market trends. The Residential Sales Representative will also work closely with company departments to develop sales and marketing techniques for existing and new product lines.
Duties and responsibilities include:
· Prepare and execute a business plan to achieve market share and internal profit objectives
· Spend up to 80% of time calling on and creating business with remodeling companies, architects, new construction builders and other trade professionals
· Remaining time will be spent managing and supporting existing distribution and channel accounts and developing new accounts as needed in assigned territory
· Provide a level of professionalism in sales and technical support that makes our products the first choice
· Perform monthly audits in assigned territory and develop actions plans to remedy any problem areas
· Prepare and conduct sales/training meetings to current and prospective customers to increase sales
· Participate in trade shows and other events in order to network and develop business relationships
· Collaborate with other departments in the development of marketing and promotional strategies for company products
· Work cross functionally to resolve customer issues and complaints in an efficient and timely manner.
· Draft and submit monthly reports detailing service problem areas, actions take to resolve problem areas, and recommendations for improving service area
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field
- Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years of outside sales and account management experience, preferably with pull through experience and preferably in building materials or related industry
- Proven track record of success in sales
- Previous experience with decking products strongly desired.
- Holds self and others accountable to create results through disciplined execution
- Demonstrated strong communication skills and a customer service orientation with high problem solving skills
- Understands the marketplace, technology and trends. Looks for external best practices and adjusts to new realities
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office required
