Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities
FUNCTIONS RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Responsible for selling the company’s products and services to the Military and Aerospace market segment. 2. Develop new accounts and expand existing accounts within an established geographic territory (Northern California and Nevada). 3. Accountable for orders/sales goals and objectives as well as implementing growth strategies for the Mil/Aero market in line with corporate goals. 4. Administer all phases of the sales management process to insure effective and timely customer service and response and drive territory growth. 5. Formulate and implement long-term strategies and tactical sales plans to achieve expected growth in geography. 6. Identify product requirements specific to market needs and provide inputs to product management team. 7. Support proposal bid/no-bid decisions, pricing decisions, competitive influences, and team member selection. 8. Provide input and participation into selected tradeshows, technology days and industry events. 9. Work collaboratively with Sales, Business Development and other team members to identify target accounts/programs and close business related to GE Intelligent Platforms products and solutions.

Qualifications/Requirements
1. BS Engineering or equivalent with 5-8 years specific market knowledge2. Self starter, team player, highly motivated individual3. Strong technical and sales background 4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills5. Experience in working with customer’s at all levels within an organization6. Proven track record of selling embedded solutions into military and defense applications.7. Technical knowledge of Embedded Computing market and technologies, including SBC’s, Switches, Multi-processors, I/O, Video/Graphics, Avionics and Systems. Knowledge of COTS technologies including VME, VPX, CPCI, PMC, XMC, switched fabrics and real-time Operating Systems.8. Working knowledge of typical embedded military applications such as radar, sonar, C4ISR, mission computing, targeting/tracking, electronic warfare, communications and EO/IR9. Knowledge and working relationships with account base and target customers and/or programs.10. 50% travel 11. Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Desired Characteristics
1. Siebel and/or SalesForce.com experience a plus.2. Understanding of Mil/Aero system applications
