SunGard is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to strengthen the team in Paris. The person will be focusing on France, Benelux, Spain, Portugal, West-North Africa. The person will have the following responsibilities:
- Develop a sales territory plan.
- Generate ERM opportunities with existing Prophet clients as well as with potential new customers in the insurance industry.
- Develop high level relationships with clients, consultants, and external organisations to increase SunGard's ERM visibility in the insurance industry.
- Through direct communication with prospective clients, gain a thorough understanding of their business, system needs and requirements, and educate the prospect on SunGard ERM offerings and strategy to ultimately turn prospects into profitable, long-term, SunGard clients.
- Meet or exceed all yearly sales goals.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the annual sales plan.
- In conjunction with the tactical Sales Executive manage and control the sales cycle from initial prospect contact, client needs analysis, solution presentation, completion of proposals, and contract negotiations including price, delivery schedule, product specifications and terms.
- Maintain an effective presence at industry events, conferences and seminars.
- Track all prospecting activity and sales opportunity activity with companies and contacts on a daily basis. using SunGard's Sales Force Dot Com (SFDC) CRM database Product
- Maintain expertise in related insurance industry issues relative to trends, competition, and customer needs.
- Maintain expertise relative to the function and technology of the SunGard iWORKS product offering in order to represent and sell effectively.
- Assist Marketing in the development of effective marketing material by providing expertise and perspective relative to customer needs, competitor insights, and business solutions.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' industry related sales experience including software applications or insurance services sales
- Proven success in exceeding sales quotas
- Demonstrated understanding of Solvency II and ERM solutions and services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding relationship management skills.
- Fluency in French English written and verbal skills a pre-requisite. Dutch or Spanish a strong plus.
- Education: Bachelors' degree or equivalent preferred.
-Traveling on a regular basis is required.
