About the Job
- Generate sales leads by any or all of the following methods: networking, cold-calling, chamber of commerce attendance, leading groups, working with agents building B2B sales opportunities, attending conferences, and other appropriate methods as part of a coordinated sales strategy
- Execute on sales strategies by gathering market information, analyzing opportunities and documenting sales methodologies, results and cycle times;
- Bring on, close and deliver new business
- Respond to client prospect inquiries by preparing responses to RFPs and RFQs
- Prepare presentations and deliver to prospective clients
- Manage territory sales results by finding leads, setting and running appointments, and closing business to bring on new customers
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and review them regularly with the management team
- Deliver on revenue goals and manage operating expenses
- Monitor, measure all sales activities and strategies, regularly provide feedback (and if necessary, alternatives) on each tactic
- Other responsibilities, as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable field (International Business or International Logistics), or equivalent experience required
- 4+ years sales experience
- At least 2 years of experience in domestic and/or international supply chain operations, or logistics and distribution
- Proven and measurable track record of success selling operations or consultation services
- Excellent organization, communication and presentation skills are required
- Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment
- Excellent risk mitigation, problem identification, and problem solving capabilities are required
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with and through cross-functional teams; Ability to communicate at all levels
- Knowledge of product specifications, customer and consumer perspective a plus
- Experience working with global teams and vendors is a tremendous advantage.
- Excellent computer skills- inclusive of all Microsoft Business Suite required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc…)
