Regional Sourcing Specialist / Commodity Lead – APAC (HR) recruitment
Overall Goal:
- Support the vision of being a leading Supply Demand Management organization by developing the sourcing community towards best practice according to the Supply Demand Management strategy framework.
- Support development and manage best-in-class commodity strategies and sourcing area plans.
- Drive the initiative portfolio in order to provide maximum value to the bank.
- Balance the priorities of the internal business partner with Supply Demand Management's mandate.
- Ensure effectiveness of the global sourcing community by cooperating with regional/global sourcing to tasks (eg sourcing initiatives) in a way that the value generation will be optimized.
- Achieve targets concerning sourcing area in scope (savings, quality, time, risk)
Responsibilities Key Tasks:
- Support, define and implement commodity strategies as well as sourcing area plans for Human Resource (Benefits Insurance, Recruiting, Temp Contractors, International Assignee Management, Training Shared Services) sourcing requirements in Asia Pacific whilst ensuring appropriate alignment to global commodity strategies. When requested by the management, to also support the sourcing of other commodities.
- Contribute to allocated savings target as assigned to commodities and region.
- Foster effective collaboration and ensure strong communication line with key stakeholders and colleagues in and across the regions to work towards shared business goals.
- Track and report savings achievements for commodities in scope.
- Promote global Supply Demand Management standards/ guidelines.
- Ensure appropriate supplier relationship management for assigned suppliers.
- At the outset, proactively engage and integrate input from respective regional sourcing specialists(s), regional sourcing sector lead(s) and/or global sourcing sector lead(s) in a way that the value generation will be optimized.
- Develop and strengthen long-term partnerships with business partners. Develop key stakeholder matrix per category/location to maintain regular engagement.
- Key APAC contact person for the assigned lead commodities to the global sourcing sector leads.
- Ensure representation of regional/local interests and market conditions of UBS to global sourcing commodities.
- When required, work with business partners and Procurement team to integrate the appropriate commodities to support P2P implementation.
- Be fully aware of all regional and global sourcing initiatives, strategies and business partners matters related to areas of responsibilities.
- Demonstrate proactive collaboration with business partners by ensuring that the sourcing approach/strategy and delegated sourcing decision are always mutually discussed and agreed prior to delegating the sourcing.
- Provide business partners the appropriate sourcing support, when requested, during the course of the (delegated) sourcing event in order to drive successful outcomes and work towards shared business objectives to benefit the Bank.
Our ideal candidate should have the following requisites:
- University degree (ideally in Economics or Supply Management) or industry experience equivalent
- Additional certification as Sourcing/Procurement professional
- Strong oral and written English (mandatory)
- At least 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing in an international environment
- Excellent communication (written, verbal) and interpersonal skills to positively influence people to make the appropriate decisions for the Bank and resolve conflicts effectively
- Leadership in an international environment (managed people or cross-functional team leadership)
- Strong project management experience
- Highly competent in negotiations and contract knowledge
