Our client is a well-established regional bank with a strong l reputation and a strong

business presence. As a result of their continued business expansion in Singapore and

around the region, they are presently looking to hire a Tax Manager to join their Tax

function.

Reporting to the head of finance, you will play a lead role in running the overall regional

tax management in Asia.

Responsibilities include:

- Ensure a tax reporting framework is in place throughout Asia to provide assurance that

tax reporting and compliance is controlled and managed in accordance with local tax

regulations and group policy 

- Work with Business Units to formulate cross border transfer pricing policy within Asia 

- Working closely with Group Tax to provide tax advisory support for ad-hoc transactions

and new product approvals

- Ensure proper compliance with income tax and GST/VAT /WHT legislation in all areas

of operations of the Bank and subsidiaries in Asia 

- Review accounting tax provisions (half year and year end) as well as quarterly tax forecast 

- Review/prepare quarterly GST returns of Bank and subsidiaries 

- Evaluate, review and implement processes to strengthen tax reporting/compliance to mitigate risk exposure. 

- Supports development and recommendation of tax policy and provides technical advice with respect to areas of assigned responsibility. 

To qualify you should have a accountancy degree with at least 5-7 years of tax experience gained either from a big 4 practice (with working knowledge of financial services clients) or relevant tax compliance experience in a bank. or financial institution (fund houses, asset management houses, trading firms etc)
