Girling Health Care's Home Health division is currently seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor in Chicago, IL!
Essential Functions:
- Conducts Performance Improvement (PI) activities.
- Responsible for customer service satisfaction.
- Responsible for quality of patient care.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and programs, and Agency policies, procedures, and processes.
- Possesses a high level of knowledge regarding patient care, Agency policies, procedures, and processes, and program rules and regulations.
- Oversees development of nursing staff
- Orients, supervises, and directs nursing staff and team clerks
- Manages assigned staff
- Manages visiting nursing staff
- Ensures administrative paperwork is completed properly and timely.
- Conducts competency demonstrations/evaluations, orientation, and in-services as necessary.
- Promotes positive community public relations.
- Provides direct patient care and on-call duties as required.
- Complies with all applicable rules and regulations and Agency policies, procedures, and processes
- Other Job Standards include: Accepts instructions and supervision; communicates appropriately and effectively with staff/supervisor/co-workers, etc; performs under stress; practices self control; absences from work do not inhibit performance; maintains confidentiality at all times; exercises sound, professional judgment.
Required Experience:
Qualifications:
- Required, free from Medicare Sanctions
- Required, current RN license required
- Required, current CPR certification required
- Required, adequate means of transportation to facilitate timely visits
- Required, valid drivers’ license and current automobile liability insurance required if using personal automobile
- Required, minimum of four years home care experience and six credit hours
- Preferred, B.S.N. or Baccalaureate in health or human services field, and 2 years experience as a Community Health nurse.
