Regulatory Affairs Lawyer

Whose main duties include:

Screening and analysis of developments of legislative and regulatory developments and proposals relating to the financial markets, with a focus on international and European developments, legal analysis and drafting of legal memoranda, as well as of positions and consultation responses in cooperation with representatives of legal and compliance, the Group's divisions and the governmental affairs teams, cooperation and contacts with authorities, trade associations, drafting of positions and memoranda for senior management, participate where required in implementation workstreams

Participation in internal working groups and working groups of trade associations, discussion and negotiations around position building, independent drafting of consultation responses, position papers, presentations and reports, legal support and assistance in advocacy related work

Law degree from a Swiss or European University and possibly qualification as attorney (bar exam), post-graduate studies in foreign jurisdiction as an asset
Professional experience in the banking or financial industry (legal, compliance, regulation)
Professional experience with strong exposure to EU regulation or in a major European financial center (banking, investment banking, supervisory authority, EU Commission staff, attorney with such exposure)
Excellent analytical skills, focussed and efficient working style, flair for practical and business issues, excellent writing skills in English and German, excellent communicator
High degree of interest in financial market issues
Understanding of tax developments would be an asset
