ROLE SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

This position will work as the liaison between the Bank its primary regulatory authority to establish oversee this critical relationship. The successful candidate will provide leadership on regulatory issues opportunities facing the Bank and know how to foster sustain rapport with regulatory authorities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve and/or delegate as a main point of contact/coordinator for regulatory communications and initiatives with the Bank’s primary regulator
- Drive awareness of regulatory activity and preparation across the business
- Coordinate responses to regulatory requests
- Establish rhythm to keep supervisory affairs leadership informed of all regulatory activities including a key role in the coordination and execution of regulatory exams
- Communicate effectively by holding regular status meetings with various supervisory contact team members in the business and interacts at very high levels with decision-makers across all functions
- Help prepare comprehensive supervisory activity reports to the Bank’s Board of Directors, the Retail Finance Enterprise Risk Management Committee, and to GE Capital Corporate (“GECC”) leadership
- Identify and improve upon regulatory content linkage of Policies, Control Testing and Risk Management
- Critique governance structure and policy standards to reflect appropriate regulatory guidance for the Bank
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree
- 3+ years regulatory experience interacting with, or acting as regulatory authority
- 7+ years in financial services
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to be located in Stamford, CT
- MUST be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act
