Overview:
The role is part of the continued expansion of the Regulatory Reporting Team in Birmingham which was created in Q1 2012.
The Regulatory Reporting Team was established to unite become a run the bank resource to support changes required to support and control the system infrastructure to enable us to be compliant with any upcoming, new or existing regulation or legislature.
Key Responsibilities:
Work alongside management on managing a team of up to 14 staff, including objective setting, staff motivation, performance review, and appraisals. Ensure adequate cross-training within team and assist with mentoring of your over performers.
- Work within a wider management team on strategy planning, capacity reviews and Management Information (MI) preparation.
- To partake fully with core day-to-day tasks:
- Keep Regulatory procedures up-to-date to keep business in state of readiness for audit.
- Escalation point for issue resolution and aged breaks analysis.
- Answering any ad-hoc queries that come from Front Office, Operations, Finance globally or our external clients.
- Monitor daily workload and ensure priorities are met and Key Performance Indicators performance are upheld
- Performing a variety of exception management functions and control checks across reporting of all asset classes.
- Project remediation tasks including participating and hosting in daily conference calls which include working groups and business updates globally.

- A proven record of successful people management is required
- Excellent prioritisation and time management skills
- An ability to convert group strategy into actual results.
- A well motivated and enthusiastic team player
- Investigation/Problem resolution skills and attention to detail essential
- Some of the reporting requirements are complex and the issues that arise would suit a candidate used to problem solving and who is able to prioritise a variety of tasks.
- Due to cross asset nature of the team ability to learn and understand multiple areas of the business, Existing knowledge of one or more product type is essential
- Regulatory experience is essential
- Excellent communication skills, including ability to confidently interact with senior management

- Degree Standard
- A background in Finance is essential
- A Good understanding of regulatory requirements and the impact on the current business.
