Regulatory Business Consultant recruitment
Due to an unprecedented change in the regulatory environment our client are looking to bring on a Consultant to deal with a number of regualtory changes that will come into force in the near and medium term i.e. Dodd Frank Act (US), EMIR (EU/UK), MiFID-2 (EU/UK), Basel-3 (Global).
The role is to work for a newly created support function in the business line specialist area with the aim of delivering an independent, robust and controlled environment that underpins the business activity.
Duties:
- Perform full front to back analysis of Rates Credit Market/Credit Risk and system capabilities
- Documenting business requirements for implementation of new Basel III rules and working closely with technical regulatory teams, IT and Risk departments
- Assess the impact of credit risk capital and liquidity on Basel-III across the business lines e.g. review of introduction of RWA disciplines and changes in RWA methodology and calculations
- Conduct risk assessments on the potential business impact of MiFID on the pre and post transparency of markets including regulatory aim to increase transparency narrows bid-offer and reduction in market liquidity and other considerations
- Support the Rates Credit business lines in aligning to the desired future shape of the WBM business operating model and jurisdictional footprint (booking models, legal entities/branches and client service offering and implication of implications of ICB, Dodd Frank, Tax, MiFID and Basel III
- Enhance and implement data quality control processes in line with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Strong business knowledge and technical skills,
- Strong process management skills
- Ability to develop strong working relationship as he/she will work closely with several other areas (such as IT, business function and Risk) in this critical area
