Regulatory Capital Reporting recruitment
The team focuses primarily on processes and governance relating to Economic and Regulatory Capital figures for the bank, and specific responsibilities of the team include:
- The development and documentation of formal governance and controls around the end-to-end RWA calculation process,
- Working with the Credit Risk Methodology Team to review the performance of credit risk models relative to Basel minimum requirements
- Working with the stress testing team on requests from regulatory bodies on stressed RWA and PL information
- Working across functions on the BASEL III implementation project
- Supporting the Front Office and Credit Officers with calculating RWA consumption of existing portfolio
- Capital optimisation initiatives, either through the implementation of new models, changes to underlying methodology related to existing models or data cleansing.
- Collation and review of monthly/quarterly RWA reports including trend reporting and commentary
- Analysis of Basel II RWA figures at a facility, counterparty and portfolio level
- Ongoing improvement and refinement of monthly reporting processes
- Liaison with Front office and credit officers to resolve queries on RWA calculations
- Providing support on capital optimisation initiatives including regular progress reporting to both Treasury and the Front Office
The successful candidate should:
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of and experience with Basel II and Risk Weighted Assets
- Have experience with credit risk models, processes, internal policies and data
- Have an interest in the changing regulatory landscape.
- A good knowledge of Risk Rating approaches is preferred.
- Good communication skills are vital.
