Role Requirements
This is a senior role and the successful candidate is expected to be able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, often to very tight deadlines including:
• Coordinating remediation inputs from multiple departments
• Driving the development of remediation plans
• Managing the change control process ensuring projects deliver according to plans submitted to the regulators
• Aligning change standards within the project portfolio and helping optimize the way change is delivered and managed
• Managing responses to Regulators and obtaining acceptance
• Managing remediation projects through to delivery
• Ongoing communication management with Regulatory Relationship managers and regulators as to the status of remediation projects
• Coordinating multiple activities surrounding Basel 3 activities
Candidate Requirements
• Graduate with a minimum 2.i degree
• Significant project management experience with a leading consulting firm within financial services or in an international investment bank
• Knowledge/awareness of financial regulation
• Experience in Programme management work i.e. Project planning, Risk and issue management, Status reporting and Steering committee management
• Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
• Strong knowledge of investment banking business processes – front to back
• Ease in dealing with senior management
• Experience in achieving results in a project context using resources that do not report directly to them
• Solid knowledge of IT, including experience of: managing IT-oriented projects, user requirements development, and testing
• Good understanding of IT oriented methods and approaches
• Extremely strong organisational skills
• Strong relationship skills
• Good knowledge of standard office software applications (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
• Thorough knowledge of project management methods, standards and processes.
