Regulatory Controllers Capital Production recruitment
We have a number of opportunities for experienced Regulatory Reporting Accountants to work in our busy team. The team are responsible for ensuring he firm maintains adequate capital resources to meet the firm’s investment business commitments and to withstand the risks to which the business is subject, e.g. Market Risk and Counterparty Risk.
The current vacancy is for a temporary member of staff. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include the following:
• Daily or monthly analytical review of the capital exposures and charges on trades across various legal entities. Trades include Equity derivatives, Fixed Income derivatives, Stock Loan, Repo, OMNI, Inter-company and Prime brokerage.
• Liaison with the capital reporting team, BU controller, operations and credit risk ops to investigate and validate variances in capital charges.
• Production of daily or monthly Regulatory Capital for Basel 2. Focus will be on Credit capital but may also include market risk based calculations.
The successful candidate with have the following skills and experience:
• Regulatory Capital knowledge
• Attention to detail and time management are essential skills for this role. In addition the candidate should have the flexibility required to work in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines
• Good communication skills are required and the candidate must work well in a team environment
• Ability to work to a daily deadline
• Comfortable in a changing environment
• Strong Excel Skills
