Regulatory & Operations Risk Analyst recruitment

CFM has offices in Paris, New York and Tokyo and employs approximately 120 staff, a majority of whom have high academic qualifications in disciplines such as physics, mathematics and information technology.
Position:
Due to further expansion, CFM is looking to reinforce its Legal Compliance Team and employ a Regulatory Operations Risk Analyst. Based in Paris, the position will involve active participation in the tasks below:
- Monitor CFM’s compliance with internal standards, as well as applicable laws and regulations
- Report exceptions to management and assist in handling of these
- Participate in further developing CFM’s control program in order to fulfill legal and regulatory requirements, internally set quality standards, as well as mitigate regulatory operational risks
- Keep informed on latest rules, regulations and best practices
- Use education, communication, control and technology to promote standards internally
- Assist in a range of regulatory communications filings
- Use IT processes to automate regulatory risk monitoring
- Write IT specifications to evolve and further automate the control environment
- Communicate with lawyers, auditors and other external service providers
Ideal Candidate:
- A Masters degree from a highly-rated institution in Finance, Engineering or Law
- Basic knowledge of finance and audit processes
- A good understanding of the use of IT systems to resolve business problems
- A forward-looking person, with ambitions to succeed
- An inquiring intellect that is eager to learn
- An analytical mind with ease for numbers
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database technologies, as well as Excel
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Team player with attention to detail and capacity to deliver
- Fluent written and spoken English and French
