Regulatory Risk Manager – Advisory recruitment

We are working on a fantastic opportunities for experienced Regulatory/Conduct risk professionals to join a market leading Risk Advisory function at one of the Big 4. This function seeks to assist firms in the development of their governance and risk arrangements. The roles will be permanent and based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Due to the increased demand for their services, our client is looking to recruit experienced Managers and Senior Managers into their team. We are interested in speaking with senior risk professionals with well-developed consulting skills. You will work with client partners in a business advisory and consulting capacity, and will be expected to focus on developing relationships in the market and identifying opportunities for new business.

Candidates should have expert knowledge in areas such as financial risk, enterprise risk, ICAAP, RDR, Solvency II, Basel III. You should also have strong project management skills as well as SME risk knowledge.

Projects will include the assessment and design of risk/compliance frameworks and operating models, reviews of risk management policies/processes, assistance with the assessment and implementation of regulatory change, responding to the risks of internal change initiatives, together with the assessment and remediation of regulatory issues.

Experience/Background required…

-Ideally, consulting experience with the Big 4 or other Tier 1 consulting firm

-University degree in relevant discipline

-Relevant professional qualification (CFA, CIMA, Securities Institute Diploma, FRM)

-Significant regulatory risk management experience working in the financial services sector or for a regulatory body

-Proven track record in managing complex projects

-A good understanding of the macroeconomic environment

-Detailed understanding of industry best practise in relation to risk frameworks and operating models and the regulatory change agenda

-Strong relationship management skills and business development experience
