Regulatory Strategy and Risk Manager
A well-known International Investment Bank is looking to strengthen the Regulatory and Capital Management team, which looks after Regulatory Policy, Capital Management and Regulatory Management Information.
This is the critical hire with responsibility for producing both the ICAAP and Recovery and Resolution plans (RRP) for the group.
Responsibilities:
-Primary responsibility for collating information to complete the bank
-Updating the RRP with material changes to the organisation
-Update the bank capital contingency management framework ensuring that this is consistent with the liquidity contingency management framework working in association with the Asset and Liability Management (ALM) team.
-Keeping abreast of developments to the regulations around RRP including the Recovery and Resolution Directive and PRA Supervisory Statements. Determining the impacts of these and suggesting updates to the documents.
-Primary responsibility for collating information to update the bank Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP)
-Understanding the impacts of stress on the bank capital position and assisting with the capital planning process.
-Producing briefing papers and presentations to senior governance committees highlighting changes to the document and updating the document itself.
-Keeping abreast of developments to the regulations around Pillar 2 and updating the ICAAP and position papers to be in line with these.
Skills:
-Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or equivalent
-Experience of working with the PRA rules on prudential regulation with particular emphasis on Pillars 1 and 2 is must
-Experience of the UK Recovery and Resolution framework is must
-Understanding and experience of Capital Adequacy including familiarity with PRA and EU rules in this area including PRA supervisory statements and the CRR / CRD IV
-Experience with managing projects would be an advantage as the collation of information to complete the ICAAP and RRP requires strong organisational skills
