This mine located in Central West NSW has had an erratic history however since 1999 have focused on mining copper and silver with production at over 1.1 million tonnes per annum.
Due to a restructure of the team the need has arisen for an experienced Rehabilitation Advisor to come on board and manage the Return to Work function of this mine site.
The main objectives of this role include liaising with all treating parties, developing return to work plans and report writing, general on-site treatments and occupational rehabilitation as well as pre-periodic and post employment functional assessments as well as manual handling and ergonomic assessments.
You will be responsible for ensuring all activities and actions are performed in line with achieving the aims of the business plan, budget goals and the companies policies and procedures. Also ensuring all reporting requirements are completed in line with standards and other insurance, legal and regulatory requirements as well as monitoring all injury management, rehabilitation, workers compensation and return to work compliance through incident reporting and follow up and regular inspections.
To be successful in this position you must hold a certificate from WorkCover for the two day course Introduction to return to work coordination and also have experience working within the same role in a similar environment. A qualification in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy is desirable. If you have experience working as a Rehabilitation Advisor in a different industry please do still apply.
This role requires the successful application to relocate to Cobar in NSW there is no FIFO or DIDO available at this stage.
