Relationship Manager — Chase Paymentech – AVP (Based in London) recruitment

Reporting to the Vice President of Client Services in Europe, the Senior Account Manager will retain, manage and expand major account relationships.
Managing a portfolio of merchant accounts they will increase revenue through cross-selling company products and services, whilst maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers within assigned accounts, internal stakeholders and within the payments industry in order to ensure retention of all accounts and act as a transaction-processing consultant to assigned clients. Regular travel to Chase Paymentech European headquarters in Ireland and some travel to mainland Europe and the US is required.
Primary Job FunctionsDirect the management of all account relationships within an assigned portfolio through a combination of face to face, phone and written communication channels. This includes negotiating contracts needed to meet retention consulting goals.Act as transaction processing consultant for clients providing alternative processing solutions options. Monitor analyse financial consequences of processing methods work with clients to minimize their costs in this area.Identify improvements to existing systems/products opportunities for new products services. Sell value-added products or services to existing accounts.Work with internal departments to ensure a high level of support for the client.
Manage communications with lines of business partners to ensure a unified account management strategy with client base.Create and maintain a development plan for each account outlining key dates, opportunities and threats which will be presented internally to the European Leadership team on a quarterly basis.

Qualifications
Applicants for this position will ideally have a degree in business administration, accounting, marketing or a related field, with at least 6 years experience in one or more of the areas of account management, including cross and up selling service delivery, sales or, contract negotiations and have:Knowledge of a similar industry although knowledge of e-commerce payments, bankcard sales or support is preferredKnowledge of computer software systems including word processing,
spreadsheets databases with previous use of CRM tools to record client communication and activities being a distinct advantage.Proven ability to enhance revenue market share through effective use of relationship management skillsAbility to provide professional interpersonal communication when interacting with others.Ability to effectively communicate both verbally in writing with client internal contactsAbility to analyse research to resolve issues..Must have independent critical thinking and decision-making abilitiesAttention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks and tolerating frequent interruptions.Must be able to multi-task
