Relationship Manager, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Utilities, Melbourne recruitment
The Institutional Banking Markets group offers a unique and broad value proposition to our clients across debt, equity, risk management and transactional products and services.
This role is responsible for managing relationships and providing analytical and transactional support for the Utilities, Energy Renewables (UERS) client portfolio. Working with the Head of UERS and Relationship Executives, the role supports the ongoing needs of the client portfolio and focuses on growing profitable business. You will undertake industry research and analysis, identify and develop new business opportunities, work within project and corporate finance deal teams and provide ongoing relationship management of institutional clients within the utilities and energy industry sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertake utilities and energy industry research and analysis to assist the UERS team pitch for new clients and new transactions.
- Provide transaction analysis through financial modelling and risk assessment on both project and corporate financings.
- Maintain in conjunction with the dedicated Client Service Centre, all basic client information such as limits, industry information and Credit Risk Ratings.
- Preparation of credit papers including providing analysis of deal structure and terms.
- Build a network of local internal and external contacts to assist the origination of new business, new clients and the gathering of competitive intelligence.
- Provide assistance in preparation of the various reporting requirements such as compliance, pipeline, pitches, calls, contacts and financial performance.
- Actively pursue the identification of opportunities to assist clients meet their day to day financial needs and medium term goals by gaining an in depth understanding of client needs. Involve product specialists in client brainstorming and delivery of financial solutions.
- Assist the Relationship Executives to provide superior service aligned with client needs and the organisation's business objectives.
- Relationship manage new clients, to ensure revenue and PACC growth.
- Assist with negotiation of commercial terms of transactions with clients and oversee progress of deal execution through to conclusion to ensure timely and efficient delivery of financial services to meet clients' requirements.
In order to succeed in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional communication skills and possess the composure and drive to commit to meet tight transaction deadlines. You will be a collaborative team player and will have highly developed organisational skills. You will ideally have at least 3 years' experience in a client servicing role, and possess relevant tertiary qualifications. Familiarity with systems such as Commsee and ROTE, together with developed credit analysis and financial modelling skills will be highly regarded.
