Plum provides an integrated superannuation solution to corporate Clients in the Australian superannuation environment. These services are either provided as a 'stand-alone' or master trust basis and include Plan Management (Member and Client Services), Education, Advice and Investments.
The role of the Relationship Manager is to strategically manage (Plum and Group offerings) and maximise Corporate client relationships by providing broad consultative guidance and delivering quality service. Further the position is to proactively assess client's needs through strategic planning and consultation, deepen client retention, loyalty, grow the value of Client to the group and where possible simplify offerings to clients.
Accountabilities for this role include but are not limited to:
- Ensure the business delivers the undertakings made either in the tender process and or subsequent contract renewals and in so doing remains compliant with any laws
- Strategically manage client relationships and mobilise a range of resources that results in operational efficiencies for the client and Plum and delivers the highest quality of service to the client
- Be seen as the 'Trusted advisor' in relation to technical superannuation matters including interpretation of plan benefits with the ability to consult on suggested changes from time to time
- Actively participate in the conversion process of clients to Plum, focusing on technical matters such as benefits design, legal, investment and communications.
- Develop and communicate strategic business plans for all clients, which include delivery of downstream value and cross-selling opportunities to Plum and Group Companies
- Develop a delivery plan for the services to be provided to Clients
- Present to Trustee Boards or Policy Committees all aspect of the client's superannuation plan operation
- Co-ordinate investments reviews and communicate the Trustee's investment approach and philosophies to clients.
- Strategically manage and evaluate client relationships to recommend service and plan changes to clients that result in operational efficiencies and the highest quality of service.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in a Relationship Management role within Corporate Superannuation, super fund secretarial role or funds management
- Demonstrate entrepreneurial and innovative approach to relationship management
- Good understanding of superannuation business processes and the application of these processes in a customer-focused environment
- Exposure to a team based work environment
- Experienced in setting objectives and working to time schedules
- Experience in developing and delivering formal business plans/presentations to corporate clients
- A comprehensive knowledge of current and proposed superannuation legislation, industry trends and corporate superannuation products
- Relevant business related tertiary qualifications or accreditation in ASFA Superannuation Diploma or currently studying towards completion, or can demonstrate equivalent relevant experience
- Proven high level of negotiation/influencing skills in cross selling to corporate superannuation clients.
