RELATIONSHIP MANAGER recruitment
The Relationship Manager will build internal relationships to grow and develop a portfolio of clients. This role will build highly proactive, lasting relationships with existing clients to generate sustained revenue and / or focus on the internal and external recruitment of new portfolio clients. The Relationship Manager will use their experience and knowledge to help clients manage their investments, and wider wealth management and banking needs, whilst showing appreciation for the lifestyle and financial priorities of our international clients.
Core Responsibilities:
- Establish contact with new and existing clients to create client plans, react to and develop new opportunities from client contacts, ensure appropriate provision of products and services both directly and via product specialists.
- Maintain regular proactive contact and rapid reaction to client approaches.
- Retain existing, and grow new revenue streams whilst ensuring delivery against agreed business plans for the target location.
- Client engagement will be primarily phone based and will focus on the identification and provision of solutions to a wide range of client needs including investments, banking, credit, foreign exchange and wealth structuring (trusts) etc; introducing specialists as appropriate to support this provision.
- Ensure conformity with global and market standards of client service, product delivery and operating model.
- Research and maintain knowledge to ensure you are up to date with all applicable regulatory requirements and compliance policies and adhere to all such standards, both legal and regulatory to avoid exposing the business to undue risk.
- Develop relationships with other parts of the Company to ensure clients are managed and new opportunities developed in the most appropriate way, enabling effective management of clients as required. In doing this, have joint responsibility with internal colleagues for the end to end client experience, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Proactively engage with the business when required to support any business and change management.
- In this role, the Relationship Manager will build and manage portfolios of up to c.800 clients whose value held with the Company are between £50 - 100k.
- Internal stakeholders include but are not limited to Relationship Manager Team Leaders, Head of Relationship Managed Direct, Investment Advisors, Mortgage Specialists and Company Operations.

- The right candidate will be comfortable in a fast growing and complex environment and will be able to move effortlessly between strategic topics to day to day Relationship Manager Responsibilities.
- The right candidate will have an excellent command of the English language with strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels.
- A numeric aptitude is desirable.
- Preferred (although not essential) is the ability to speak a foreign language.
- The job holder will be action oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement in all areas of work.
- The right candidate will be creative but pragmatic, conceptual, but able to deliver at speed.
- The suitable candidate will be a relationship builder with a reputation for integrity, who can evoke rapid trust and openness in clients, colleagues and team member alike.
Core Requirements:
- The right candidate will have significant experience in building and delivering high quality client portfolio management.
- They will have spent a high proportion of their career within financial services.
- Ideally the candidate will have solid experience in business development, preferably in our target markets.
- They will have a thorough understanding and appreciation of the need to operate to high risk and regulatory standards.
- The candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of global economics and political conditions, current affairs and competitor activity and the implication of these on our clients. Candidates will be able to demonstrate a depth of commercial understanding of the businesses they have supported in the past, coupled with an appetite to build a deep appreciation of the wealth management sector.
- A high quality degree level education and a first class general academic track record is desirable as is professional banking or investment qualifications.
