My client has a very exciting opportunity for an experienced housing repairs planner/Scheduler to work in a fast paced and fulfilling environment. This South east London local authority is renowned for providing excellent quality of work and customer service to all housing residents.

Duties
• To raise orders on IT systems, plan and dispatch jobs to the best placed operative or subcontractor with the right skills to complete a repair first time.

• To receive and action requests from operatives, team leaders and subcontractors regarding the requirements for additional trades and materials to complete a repair.

• To receive and action information from operatives, team leaders and subcontractors regarding job completion.

• To ensure that all warning notices e.g. Asbestos on the IT systems are communicated to operatives and sub- contractors.

• To work pro-actively with team members to improve customer service delivery and to conduct outbound calls as required.

• To undertake training, supervision, seminars, meetings and other events designed to improve communication and assist with the effective development of the planning team.

• To contribute towards the overall service objectives and targets of the planning team.

Experience
• The ideal candidate will have at least THREE years’ experience within a Local government or Housing association providing planning / Scheduling for housing repairs.

• Knowledge of software systems Iworld, Northgate and Opti-time would be a benefit.

• Experience of dealing with phone enquiries in a professional, polite, sensitive, efficient and timely manner.

• Excellent communication skills to liaise with other departments, agencies, contractors as appropriate.
