REPO TRADER recruitment
We are the New York-based business operations of a global bank based in the Netherlands. The company’s Global Markets activities include FX, Rates, Securities Finance, Equity Derivatives, and Capital Markets activities. Additional key business lines within the US include, Treasury ALM functions, Custody and Clearing, in addition to Energy, Commodities and Transportation Lending.
We currently seek a Repo Trader with a Bachelors degree (Economics, Business, Finance, Math, or Engineering preference) with a minimum 5+ years experience on a Bond Finance desk trading multiple currencies and asset classes. Series 7 and 63 required.
In this role responsibilities will include:
• Pricing and executing trades within the Bond Finance Trader Mandate
• Examining complex factors that may affect the trading positions and providing guidance on risk management and transaction execution
• Providing input into Bond finance annual budget
• Devising new strategies across existing and future Repo / Reverse repo products
• Cooperating with Sales to interface with counterparts/clients providing solutions for customers cash reinvestment needs
• Managing the book in cooperation with our Senior Repo trader
Qualified candidates should have a solid understanding of the mechanics of a Fixed Income valuation; a high level Excel spreadsheet competence and familiarity with Bloomberg and Finance Pro.
