We are currently looking for a motivated Research Analyst with at least five years of experience to assist the Portfolio Managers in Fort Lee, New Jersey. The Investment Adviser manages $14 billion distributed across all market capitalizations in seven mutual funds and sub-advisory accounts. Our group is small and collegial, numbering 17 people, but we are part of an 8,000 person Global Investment Manager overseeing more than $650 billion in 31 countries. Our disciplined approach emphasizes careful security selection and long holding periods.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Perform thorough fundamental analysis of a company’s business and financial position; including cash flow analysis, balance sheet and income statement evaluations.
- Conduct independent research by speaking with company management and industry contacts.
- Compile data from multiple sources and develop detailed financial models on covered companies.
- Initiate and maintain written and verbal communication with portfolio managers.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA highly recommended.
- 5-10 years of research experience; preferably within the healthcare sector.
- CFA highly recommended.
- Solid analytical and research skills.
- Ability to build and maintain detailed financial models.
- Strong understanding of securities and investment process.
- Understanding of performance, portfolio and risk analytics.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
