Research Analyst – Sales & Marketing recruitment

BT Investment Management (BTIM) was formed from the funds management business within BT Financial Group.
BTIM’s vision is to be the leading funds management business in Australia as measured by long-term out performance across a broad range of products, enabling it to grow FUM and increase revenues and profitability.
BTIM Sales Marketing is responsible for the development and retention of investment business from institutional clients, asset consultants, research houses and dealer groups.
Role Objective:
The objective of the role is to assist the Portfolio specialists and broader sales team with the management, collation and production of investment, product and sales information that is necessary in the sales process.
Key Responsibilities of the position:
- Delivery of accurate and timely information to Research houses and Asset consultants and managing the research reporting and timetable
- Assist Portfolio specialists and investment staff with the production of RFPs and other pitch material
- Manage sales team data and information requests in liaison with Client Services
- Responsibility for the regular production of competitor analysis using the Morningstar Direct system
- Assist portfolio specialists in provision of stock and portfolio information to the rest of the team on a regular basis
- Conduct portfolio and investment analysis as instructed by the Portfolio Specialists
- Maintenance and writing of IFSA documentation
- Maintenance and production of stock templates and sales tools
- Manage CRM and Website from a research perspective
- Interaction (both field and phone based) with key internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications:
- Completed or studying investment related degree/and or RG146 compliant
- Post graduate qualifications, or studying for Qualifications in Finance related area
Skills Experience:
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Investment Management business.
- 3 years relevant investment management experience
- Strong presentation, verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to articulate a thorough working knowledge of financial markets
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
