Responsibilities
- Conduct selection and monitoring of investment alternatives using quantitative methodologies
- Conduct performance measurements and attribution of our investment strategies, model portfolios, and mutual fund portfolios
- Support collateral management of credit derivatives such as Credit Default Swaps
- Perform due diligence on fund managers and gather investment insights on relevant products/instruments
- Gather relevant data from Bloomberg and other data vendors and work with IT professionals in updating and maintaining data repositories
- Support portfolio management, trading and all related back office operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance is required, MS or progress towards CFA designation is a plus, but not a requirement.
- 1-3 years previous experience in an investment environment
- Hands on working knowledge with Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct and/or Principia
- Thorough knowledge of Mutual Funds, ETFs, Convertible and High-Yield Bonds, REITS, Equity and Equity Options
- Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of financial/statistical software tools such as S-PLUS/R, MATLAB, and SAS
- Ability to analyze risk/return and modeling skills as related to research and portfolio management
- Highly developed analytical skills, including the ability to use and interpret portfolio analytics
- Strong written communication and presentation skills
- Detail-oriented, hard working, and committed to driving end-to-end initiatives
- Team player with a positive attitude
