Research Interviewer (207002) Job in Fort Bragg, North Carolina Us

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation (HJF) is seeking a Research Interviewer to support the Warrior STRONG Study, Congressionally Directed Medical Research Project (CDMRP), located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.  HJF provides administrative and management support to CDMRP.

 

Responsibilities:

 

1.   Adheres to the research protocol guidelines and all Human Protection requirements and guidelines.

 

2.   Administers and scores the Ohio State University TBI Identification Method Clinical interview (OSU).

 

3.   Ensures secure handling of completed study material.  Checks for completeness of the participant’s paperwork as needed.

 

4.   Participates in all aspects of the main research study and sub-study as needed: Conducts research study briefings; distributes, collects and sorts screening tools; invites participants per randomization algorithm; obtains informed consent from participants; proctors participants completing the questionnaires and the ANAM computer assessment.

 

5.   Prepares weekly report for conference call regarding research efforts.

 

6.   Maintains accurate files and records of ongoing research project as required by the protocol.

 

7.   Under the direction and supervision of the lead Research Coordinator, conducts 3, 6 or 12 month follow-up assessments.

 

8.   Maintains up-to-date Human Protection Training.

 

9.   Provides assistance to other clinical sites participating in the protocol as needed and/or requested by the local and national Principal Investigators or the Research Coordinator.

 

10. Works collaboratively with all members of the Research Team.

 

11. Prepares participant packets as needed.

 

12. Performs other duties as required.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Experience in conducting structured clinical interviews and/or counseling skills.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to make presentations to large groups of people.  Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of military personnel, clients, and colleagues by phone, email, and in person.  Self-starter who can work autonomously.  Proven skills using standard Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and data entry capabilities.  Valid driver’s license.

 

Minimum Education/Training Requirements:  Master's degree in Sociology, Psychology or related field required.  Will consider licensed BSN.

 

Minimum Experience:  2-4 years experience.  Prior research or data collection experience preferred but not required.

 

Physical Capabilities:  Long periods of walking and standing; ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
