Band 6 Research Nurses required for Clinical Trials for novel Vaccines against tropical and other infectious diseases

Hays are working with a world-renowned public sector London trust.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on these clinical trials, If you are an experienced research nurse looking for a temporary role or a non-research experienced nurse, that is looking to diversify into clinical research.

All interested nurses must have post registration experience in acute care.

Working full time (37 hours per week) from July until end November 2013, the nurses main responsibilities will be to provide assistance and, where appropriate, manage the screening, vaccination and review of volunteers entering the studies. The nurses will also Monitor record accurately trial safety data as specified in the clinical trial protocol and participate in the design and preparation of research protocols, volunteer information sheets and other documentation associated with clinical trials, ensuring that these are reviewed and updated as required. Essential skills required are· Registered Nurse (Adult)· Evidence of venepuncture skills and practice· Evidence of continuing professional development.· Evidence of computer literacy (Inc MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook)· good organisational skills and ability to work independently.
