Research / Senior Research Analyst – Fluent German essential recruitment

Both roles require the provision of research to provide market insights and tactical and strategic guidance to the internal and external clients. This will involve the analysis of economic and property data, the formulation of views and conclusions, and the production of recommendations. This work will be disseminated through in-person meetings or calls, publications (in English), and through group presentations.

The Research Analyst will primarily deal with the following:

-European markets of the Nordics (ex Sweden), the Netherlands and Austria, and a secondary role for Germany and Switzerland,

-Together with local fund managers and the Research Strategy team, provide macro (top-down) advice and formulate client investment strategies

-Produce market-leading research reports and periodic market analysis/commentaries covering current market activity, original research, etc for internal use and for publication more widely

-Produce and present market analyses to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the markets and how they are driven by economic and property factors 

-Working as part of the Research Strategy team, contribute to the overall work, including the global and European perspectives, forecasts, strategies, etc

The Senior Research Analyst is senior position within the Research and Strategy team with particular responsibility for the German and Swiss real estate markets. You will also be expected to have or to gain an intimate knowledge of the functioning of the German commercial real estate markets and to be the team’s expert in that area. However, the role is also as part of the team that covers the European and Asian markets and the successful candidate will be both contributing to European and global strategic work and gaining from the knowledge and experience of the other members of the team. The output will be in a range of formats from client (internal and external) advisory meetings) to more formal presentations, and the production of research publications and notes.

Your duties in this role will include:

-Having an influential role in building and shaping the real estate research capabilities, at a senior level, of the research team. This is an exciting role for an enthusiastic and flexible individual with a keen interest in adding insights and thoughts to market data and analysis to provide information strategic and tactical advice to internal and external clients.

-Management of another team member and will be expected to provide leadership and support (which includes guidance and advice in the development of the analyst).

-Focused on the German and Swiss markets, but there will also be other areas of expertise and work of a European nature, and there may be involvement on Asian and US projects

-The role is that of a general real estate researcher and the individual will be expected to play a full part in the team in meeting its objectives in terms of general research, publications, and presentations

-Together with local fund managers and the Head of European and Asian Research Strategy assist in the formulation of client investment tactics and strategies.
