Position Description:
An exciting and rewarding opportunity currently exists for an ambitious Research Associate to join the Technology research team based in Taiwan:
Key Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate should be passionate about the Technology industry and have great interpersonal skills to talk with industry contacts to help us to differentiate from competition
- The Research Associate will be involved in identifying the trends, the competitive landscape, the evolving content and services, as well as differentiating investment opportunities in the Technology space
- Key responsibilities include extensive financial modeling, analyzing and collecting industry /company information, analyzing macroeconomic factors industry trends, preparing research reports, replying client questions/inquiries, helping lead analyst expand stock coverage universe as well as maintaining models and databases. They will also play an important role in producing and writing company and sector research
- The candidate should have the ability to effectively work with diverse cultures in a global team, sensitivity and appreciation for diverse cultures and be capable of contributing effectively in projects regardless of functional, geographic and business lines
- The candidate should also have a facility to prepare and organize written materials in a manner that is readily understood by the reader and an ability to articulate issues clearly and concisely to peers, management and clients.

- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills (able to develop and produce meaningful reports)
- Highly developed financial modeling skills: Build company earnings financial models and conduct the necessary maintenance works. Upload financial models to centralized financial database
- Strong Excel skills (able to record simple macros, generate pivot tables, and write basic formulas)
- Strong Access skills (able to write complex queries, reports, and forms from multiple sources of data)
- Excellent organizational skills - ability to prioritize workload to meet deliverables
- Self motivated - consistently seeks and has proven record of delivering results beyond team and client expectations
- Ability and determination to root out information from a variety of public and proprietary sources
- Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential; excellent English writing skills
- Ideally looking for applicants with experience in investment banking, buy side, financial industry or relevant industry experience.
