American Career College (ACC) has been helping people succeed for over 30 years, and we are currently recruiting a Career Advisement Coordinator (Respiratory Therapy) for our Orange County Campus.
Job Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Career Services, the Career Advisement Coordinator (RT) coordinates the graduate student job placement process for Respiratory Therapy graduates to meet student, alumni, institutional and industry needs; places students in related jobs; assists students with the job search process, including teaching workshops and critiquing resumes. Coordinates Career Job Fairs with related employer representatives/groups. Provides excellent customer service to current and graduating students in accordance with the mission and purpose of American Career College.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in education, administration, business management, or related field required, Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Must be a graduate from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or an otherwise recognized training entity (e.g., hospital- based program) in the specialty field or subject area in which they teach.
- Must hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credential and hold such professional license or certificate as is required by the state in which employed.
- Must possess two (2) years of occupational (i.e., practical) experience in Respiratory Therapy; or a minimum of three (3) years of job-related training and experience, as described above, for those who are not graduated from an accredited program in the field in which they teach.
- Current Driver’s License required
- Proficient skills and experience in Microsoft Office computer software systems that includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
