Restaurant Project Manager Job in Toronto, Ontario Canada

Qualified Project Manager will provide restaurant clients with scope and specification development, permit execution, vendor coordination and quality assurance control systems. In addition, Project Manager will use proven communication skills and ability to foster client relationships to ensure the success of the program.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Negotiate and prepare agreements for successful execution of work, including bid packages and contract documents.

Establish communication procedures, including the appropriate chain of command for all communications, for projects and set up an appropriate tracking system for necessary approvals.

Establish meeting procedures and timetables.

Ensure project documentation is accurate and coordinated.

Provide updated progress reports on projects based on client requirements.

Oversee construction activities, including coordination of Contractors and Owner contracted services and/or products.

Conduct design coordination meetings, pre-construction meetings, site inspections, punch list meeting and final project closeout .

Review all requests for information, changes requests, etc. and issue appropriate response.

Ensure close out package is properly prepared for client.

REQUIRED SKILLS EXPERIENCE:

This role requires that you coordinate with clients, contractors, manufacturers, vendors and installers on a daily basis to provide constant communication with the client regarding the progress of the project. This will require delegation of work assignments and follow up to ensure projects are on track with timeline and budget.

The ideal candidate will have:

 


• 10+ years of project management or construction management experience in restaurant construction environment.
• Full scope construction experience is required.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Must be detail-oriented, have excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and have proven leadership skills.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of construction practices/techniques,    project controls and building support systems.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.
• The ability to handle multiple projects.
• Moderate travel is required throughout Canada and trips to US.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
