Retail Banking & Insurance – Project Managers & Consultants
Our client is a respected financial services consultancy. Its retail banking and insurance team delivers strategic initiatives involving technology, business improvement and Target Operating Models for retail, corporate and private banks, insurance, both general insurance and life and pensions, card issuers and payment processors. Due to success and growth, it is seeking to hire consultants, business analysts, project managers and architects.
You will have experience of working on business process improvement and operating model initiatives as a consultant, business analyst or project manager. Currently working with a consultancy firm, retail bank or insurance company, your experience should include some of the following:
- In depth knowledge and understanding of the UK retail banking industry and market. And/ or:
- General Insurance and Life and Pensions, from sales and marketing through to core underwriting and claims operations, as well as key functional processes including finance, risk and regulatory management
- General process performance (efficiency, error / waste elimination, re-engineering))
- Operating model design and delivery, process transformation, cost reduction and risk and regulation
- Track record in managing the successful delivery of large, complex programmes/engagements on time and within budget
- Ability to lead and direct large and cross functional teams
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, BPR techniques methodologies
- Organisation wide or function specific business strategy definition and operating model design
- Knowledge and understanding of technical retail banking products with a particular focus on retail banking operations
- Business Analysis, Project / Programme Management
- Experience defining and implementing operations and IT operating models covering change the bank and run the bank aspects
- Process improvement and operational efficiency
- Target/ Technical Operating Models
- Record of successfully working on large and complex engagements or projects
- BACS/ CHAPS payments lifecycle, retail banking products and services
- Familiarity with current regulation and its impact on the banking and insurance sectors
You will be working on high profile change initiatives so excellent presentation and communication skills are key. Suitable candidates must be able to work closely with clients on strategic initiatives, while building and developing successful business relationships.
