RETAIL STRATEGY MANAGER recruitment
Reporting to the Head of Strategy, Planning Controls the main purpose of this role is managing supporting the intermediary D2C vision. Being responsible for anticipating and making proposals for the future direction of the marketing strategy for Retail market, this will include overseeing a number of projects and supporting key strategic initiatives.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support the development and maintenance of the Retail marketing plan for the intermediated direct customer market – which segments the Company will operate in, how it will compete, how the Company will focus resources and how it will generate revenue.
- Based on an understanding of our segments and their needs, for each intermediate customer segment, developing the appropriate strategy.
- Input into the annual business planning and regular re-forecasting processes to ensure that the Company meets their financial, market and customer targets.
- Building and maintaining a fact base for the intermediated market including a deep understanding of regulatory developments, competitor activity, intermediary market developments (i.e. industry consolidation, regulatory and other pressures impacting them) and using it to drive proactive and innovative responses to market opportunity (Insight will provide data and insight to this process, the role is concerned with the use of the insight to drive business activity).
- Ensure propositions are fully aligned to the TCF and wider customer centricity.
- Working closely with Retail propositions ensuring all propositions are developed to meet the strategic direction of Retail.
- Monitor changes in the market and business environment (regulations, economic environment etc) and report the impact upon planned developments to ensure that recommendations are complete and accurate.
- Make recommendations to resolve any issues and maximise opportunities from a changing marketplace.
- Ensure that local and role specific Treating Customer Fairly requirements are met in line with your key outputs.

Core Requirements:
- Essential:
- Educated to a degree level or equivalent, ideally in a business/financial management discipline.
- Experience of the Financial Services market place and experience of Direct Sales channels.
- Proven project management experience with the ability to manage a number of complex projects and initiatives.
- Proven track record of delivery against plan in a similar environment.
- Experience of presenting at a Senior / Executive level recommendations with clear arguments, measured objectives and rational for recommendations.
- Experience of supporting the implementation of strategic change.
- Desirable:
- Proven experience at managerial level within the regulated financial services sales environment
