RF/IF System Design Engineer – FSWP

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, Fujitsu Semiconductor Wireless Products (FSWP), is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fujitsu Semiconductor Limited in Japan. FSWP develops RF transceiver products for cellular handsets, and more than 140 design engineers are working on RF transceiver IC design, architecture, validation, verification, and reference designs. The group is also working on the next generation of products with engineering samples already available on a multimode WCDMA/EGPRS/LTE transceiver with a 4G DigRF interface.
We are seeking a RF/IF Systems Design Engineer to join our Transceiver Systems team in Tempe, AZ.
Join our team and participate in the development of RF/IF transceiver IC's and subsystems for wireless market.
- RF/IF transceiver subsystem architecture definition, analysis, modeling, and lineup system simulations
- Development of floating point and fixed point digital signal processing algorithms for RF/IF system applications
- Development of system test compliance procedures and specifications for both pre-silicon and post-silicon testing
- Work closely with RF/IF circuit designers during system definition phase
- Work closely with IC and platform level validation teams on transceiver subsystem validation, system performance, and failure analysis
- Participate in pre-sales and post-sales support of key customers.
- Ideal candidate has 5 or more years experience in floating point and fixed point digital signal processing algorithms, RF/IF system architectures with modeling, and wireless lineup system simulations.
- Experience with wireless lineup system simulations/analysis using Matlab, Simulink, SPW, ADS, and/or Excel spread sheets.
- Knowledge of EGPRS, CDMA, and OFDM protocols and physical layer desirable.
- Excellent technical presentation, verbal, and writing skills is desired.
