As a member of the marketing team, the Marketing Operations RFP Writer will support the sales and marketing process by leveraging firmwide resources to craft Sanitized DDQs and respond to formal RFPs for Oaktree’s Private Partnership strategies. The RFP Writer will participate in establishing processes around evaluating and responding to client inquiries and managing to established service level agreements and quality assurance protocol. He/She is expected to work with Marketing Representative Workgroup Leads to outline and manage the many deliverables along the fund raising process for new product launches. In this capacity, the RFP Writer serves as a trusted firmwide resource and go-to for all flavors of firm and product related intelligence.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Interacting with all functional areas across the company including but not limited to portfolio management, portfolio analysis and reporting, marketing representatives, client services, accounting, compliance, legal and operations in order to complete marketing requests.;
- Selecting, drafting or working with other departments to write accurate and consistent responses to routine or nuanced client and prospect requests;
- Ensuring the integrity of internal stored content databases.
- Identifying and executing on opportunities to build efficiencies through process and technological improvements around routine based data related tasks.
- Strong command of all or a majority of Oaktree’s investment strategies and their relevant operating, performance and risk metrics.
- Experience responding to RFP and or client related inquiries for firm and fund specific information.
- Proven ability to prioritize high volumes of work from a multitude of sources while maintaining the highest quality standards; exceptional organizational skills.
- Exceptional writing skills: ability to craft thoughtful and compelling commentary.
- Articulate and creative communicator; ability to explain complex concepts to a wide range of audiences.

- The candidate will be team-oriented and must possess strong integrity and professionalism and share Oaktree’s common goal of excellence.
- Unwavering attention to detail.
- 3-5 years of RFP experience within a finance, marketing or legal role, preferably within the investment management industry;
- Or 1-3 years working at a law firm.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• MBA and/or JD a plus.
