As a result of ARROW there is increased emphasis being placed by the regulators upon driving the development of increased prudential capital requirements and this has brought on requirement for candidate with strong Credit Risk Analysis
Some of the responsibilities within the role will include:
- Responsible for supporting Credit Risk teams to ensure they have the necessary tools and information to perform their jobs efficiently
- Supporting the development of the Bank’s risk management system particularly in the area of the UK specific regime such as ICAAP
- Supporting credit and capital planning processes, to ensure enhanced credit stress testing and scenario planning work are implemented ( with specific reference to ICAAP and Capital Planning Buffers ).
- Embedding the usage of ICAAP in relation with bank’s risk appetite by Senior Management and the business staff as a whole.
- Full engagement in the creation of ICAAP and regulatory contacts such as ARROW
- Good working knowledge and experience of economic and regulatory capital planning processes including the calculation of Capital Planning Buffers.
- Establishment of the risk appetite framework for credit risk and production of associated documentation.
- Conducting credit risk stress testing of loan portfolio and validating the severity of the stress level.
It is essential that you come from a strong academic background, and have a solid knowledge of BASEL II/III. You’ll need to have solid communication skills and be analytical in thinking. In return they are offering a starting salary between £75,000 - £85,000 dependant upon experience, plus bonus, and excellent benefits package and huge potential for further career progression.
