Risk and Regulation Project Manager – EMIR Regs, Dodd Frank and FATCA
The Project Manager will Lead the operations projects/programmes for the implementation of significant regulatory change with particular focus on the EMIR and Dodd-Frank derivatives regulations.
They will also need to implement new risk management standards across the business, ensuring the correct guidelines are issued internally. Despite my client preferring candidates from a ‘Big 4’ Management Consultancy background, they would still consider individuals that have demonstrated a successful career in managing large scale regulation focussed change programmes within industry (banking experience only).
All candidates are to have the following skills sets:
- Previous experience of managing Regulatory change.
 - Familiarity with EMIR and Dodd-Frank regulations.
 - Experience working with internal and external legal counsel.
 - Ability to monitor regulations and track project to changing regulations.
 - Proven experience delivering projects on time and within budget.
 - Good understanding of financial instruments.
 - Proven track record of delivering solutions to financial institutions.
 - Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
 - Strong leadership and people management skills.
 - Experienced in delivery of projects using a recognised project life cycle methodology.
 - Proven experience of managing budgets.
 - Systems and product knowledge
 - Experience of MS Project and MS Office skills.
 - Critical thinking, smart and concise communication and structured reasoning
 - Formal qualification in Project Management [ PRINCE2, APM, PMI ]
 - Sound understanding of Market Data across Asset Classes
 - Significant experience within regulatory risk or change environment.
 - Strong academics and relevant professional qualifications/accreditations with a strong numerical background.
