The Trading Market Risk team is a dynamic and leading edge function supporting and adding value to the business. The businesses trade an extensive portfolio of Equity, Interest Rate, Credit, Property and Hybrid Derivatives.
The team is looking for a Risk Associate to assist in the daily production and analysis of PL/market risk within Equity Financing (focuses on providing dividend yield enhancing solutions and Equity arbitrage strategies across different jurisdictions) and Global Structuring (seeks to provide tax efficient solutions across desks using multiple product classes).

As a Risk Associate - Product Control, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Part Qualified/Qualified accountant
- Product Control experience in a Financial Services company
- Working knowledge of PL attribution
- Relevant product knowledge and experience in Equity products
- Highly numerate background and excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of control processes applicable in a trading / regulated environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to use SQL or VBA programming
As a Risk Associate - Product Control, your main responsibilities will include:
- Initial focus will be on preparation and analysis of daily PL to front office, ensuring that all positions and PL moves are clearly understood in line with the trading strategies
- Monitoring and management of PL/risk limits
- Taking the lead in projects to develop and support new products, systems and business initiatives
- Liaison with trading desk, Valuations, Operations, financial Reporting etc. to discuss and resolve ad hoc issues concerning bookings, valuations, new business and other areas.
