Job Description
You will be focused on providing advice on regulatory and risk policy requirements, compliance and operational risk frameworks and plans, and undertake risk based compliance and operational risk reviews and assessments across the business units. specifically you will:
- Provide independent and pragmatic risk guidance and oversight to the business areas including advising on regulatory matters, incidents, compliance and operational risk frameworks, risk monitoring and controls/risk assessments.
- Drive action through the provision of relevant information on related risk and control issues to relevant internal stakeholders
- Undertake reporting and escalation of risk related matters within Wealth Risk, risk committees, boards and other risk related forums.
- Provide independent compliance knowledge on regulatory and bank policy matters and change.
- Implement and manage the compliance and op risk framework from a second line perspective
- Ensure that all high and extreme compliance risks are appropriately managed
- Prepare quality reporting and raise internal stakeholder awareness on key trends, incidents and compliance and operational risk assessments and monitoring activity
The Successful Applicant
We are looking for an experience Risk Manager with exposure to broking or investment lending. You will currently be working in house with experience working in an operational risk and compliance function.
You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as this role manages and influences a wide variety of stakeholders. Attention to detail and ability to make decisions quickly and provide timely accurate and commercial advice is also essential.
