Risk Control Analyst
We are a leading Global Commodities Trading Business based in Houston. Due to expansion of our trading operation we are looking for a Risk Control Analyst to be based in Houston.
Risk Control Analyst will be responsible for
- Update and report daily Mark to Market spreadsheets for trading books.
- Daily P L
- Trading Reporting by type Physical and Paper
- Market price summary
- Reconcile daily paper trades
- Daily cross check broker confirms statements against trader deal input
- Daily reporting
- Confirm pricing of all deals with accounting
- Monitor compliance of hedging plans with actual trader executions
- Monitor delegation of authority (DOA) verses trader activity
- Understand trader positions to ensure correct recording in daily Mark to Market
- Monthly reconciliation with accounting
- Trading book analysis/reports as needed
- Special projects as needed
Candidate Profile:
- 3-5 years of experience (at least 3 years of working experience in commodities trading)
- Advanced or Expert level of competency for spreadsheet work
- Advanced Mathmatics of Accounting degree
- Fluent in English
- Strong analytical,accounting oriented,Trading Business understanding,system knowledge.
- Proactive attitude,self-starter,takes initiatives.
- Intellectual curiosity,who wants to understand,asks questions,challenges people and explanations.
- Good communicator to keep information flow smooth and a good team leader to keep productivity and efficiency.
- Straight in the way of analyzing figures,of presenting in an understanding format within a defended timeline.
- Strong Accounting knowledge.
- Excellent Excel user (VBA).
