Risk & Control lead DSG (HK/SG) recruitment
The Data Services Group (DSG) Risk and Control function is to establish a robust risk framework that supports DSG regional and functional management in the identification, risk assessment, reporting and remediation of Operational Risk. This will create an environment of transparency and keep process and environmental risk within appetite.
Successful candidate will be based in Singapore and report regional into the APAC Regional Head for DSG and functionally into the Global Head of Risk Control for DSG.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
Ensure daily/weekly/monthly meeting structures are in place and review meeting agenda covers comprehensive topics with appropriate attendees

- Identify and understand inherent risk profile of DSG
- Continually assess appropriateness of existing controls for all DSG processes and develop risk metrics to measure the effectiveness of controls
- Conduct process reviews on key areas of KYC, Instrument and Account where required
- Challenge controls completeness AND performance, drive remediation where necessary
- Review SOPs for content completeness and ensure functional managers review and update SOPs on a periodic basis
- Maintain oversight of risk related issues and ensures corroborative evidence is available for closing out audit points, SOX action plans, ORIs and other risk items
- Face off to external Risk stakeholders (Risk Operations, other functional control leads, ORC, Audit, Compliance)
- Assist in tactical streams of work (for example – assessing that the segregation of duties within the Standard Settlement Instructions world are adhered to, understanding the front to back process flows analysing the risks involved managing any remediation projects where necessary)
Our ideal candidates should have the following requisites:
- Degree qualified with superior people skills.
- Minimum 2-4 years of audit experience, with experience in similar positions in a financial institution and/or consulting firm
- Self-motivated and passionate achievers
- Good communication skills and able to provide clear status updates and coordinate with team members to achieve project objectives
- Strong analytical skills and able to manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
- Ability to work in an environment with diversified profiles and able to deliver results by working with a virtual team.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook)
