Risk Director
The Risk Director will report to the Head of Regulation for the firm, who has a formal reporting line to the Board.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Cross-department risk frameworks management, including: Operational Risk Framework, Business Risk Governance Framework, Business Strategic Risk Scenarios Capital Requirements and others
- Major business change / new products assessment and validation
- Day-to-day internal control over risk management policies and processes managed within departments, eg: risks managed by Risk Department, Treasury Banking Services Department.
- Audit Committee commentary: provide an independent commentary to the Chairman of the Audit Committee on issues and outstanding actions to be taken by Departments
- Business Risk Control Committee: to be a member of and secretary to the Business Risk Control Committee.
To be considered for this position you will possess the following skills/experience:
- Have undertaken a significant management role in the risk or internal audit function of an major financial institution
- Performed at Director at a “Big 4” firm delivering risk management or audit services to financial sector clients.
- Experience of both operational and/or enterprise risk management
- Implemented, audited or advised on risk management and internal control frameworks
- Experience of working at senior executive level, running Committees
